We Approve: Teddy’s Tavern in Seattle

Posted by Lauren Rubenstein

Teddy’s Tavern off Roosevelt is a hidden gem nestled in the business district of the Ravenna neighborhood. Why a hidden gem, you ask? Well, for the sports enthusiast there isn’t a bad seat in the house. From every stool, table or booth within the bar you have a front row seat to a flat screen TV while still having the cozy comforts of a dive bar.

Fully equipped with billiards, Buck Hunter and Golden Tee, there is something for everyone. During the warmer months you can even sharpen your ping pong skills on their spacious patio. The bartender is not only friendly, and always has a smile on his face no matter how rowdy the crowd gets, but he is a whiz whipping up mixed drinks with freshly squeezed citrus. For beer drinkers, there is a wide range of choices, including craft brews to old standards like Rainier in a can.

If you are looking for a midnight snack there are hot salty nuts and a variety of chips to stave off hunger. This is not a bar with greasy finger foods, but you are more than welcome to order delivery. Pizza delivery guys have been known to make frequent stops at this local hot spot.

If you are looking for a comfortable neighborhood bar to watch your next sporting event, look no further than Teddy’s Tavern — you won’t be disappointed.
