Beer and baseball. Truly two of God’s gifts to man. So what better pairing than a bar named after a beer. Genius.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are teaming up with Budweiser and Aramark to debut the Budweiser Bowtie Bar at PNC Park this season. Named after the Budweiser’s iconic “bowtie” logo, the 5,000-square-foot bar will sit in right field with an open view of the action.
Other features, according to the press release:
- An expansive “U” shaped bar which will become a focal point in the right field corner
- Ability to purchase select food items from within the Bowtie Bar footprint
- An open floor plan overlooking right field, as well as the Allegheny River and Downtown Pittsburgh cityscape
- Seven flat screen HD televisions to ensure fans don’t miss any of the game action
- Expanded cover patio space with rear glass wall to protect fans from weather
- Option to rent a portion of the space to host a private group outing of 50 or more people with hospitality included on game days and non-game days
No word on the price of beers, but we set the over/under at $7 for a bottle of Bud Light.
